Kaleidoscope reflection

Needs: I need more practise with writing, more encouragement in oral skills and occasions to use my English.
Skills:
I understand well what I hear when a speaker uses \"standard English\". Anyway, I speak and write slowly - and I’m always terrified if I do mistakes, maybe due to previous Finnish school system...
Motivation:
I'm motivated to use English. I really want to learn, because I know it’s important to communicate and search information as a teacher. I think it’s interesting way to learn language by this way. Learning by doing sounds good. I’m like a hunter and better English is my target-animal. I’m hunting good lessons, discussions, books - all in English of course.
Personality:
I think it’s difficult to learn a language. I’m very good in Finnish – I’m an author by profession. My memory is so bad, I can’t remember words. I’m a perfectionist and I want to speak fluently – that’s why I don’t open my mouth often. I want time to think what I would say.
Learning background:
I haven’t use English much since I graduated high school 1995. Of course I use it when I travel - and I was five weeks in Uganda last year as an exchange student.
