I learned english when I was 4-5 years old, because my family was living in Ithaca. Now it’s amazing to think how easy lerning a new language was then. It just came pretty efortlessly. I think I was better then than now, maby because as a child I didn’t have the fear of makeing mistakes or sounding stupid. When I started school me and my brother went to a english club, witch was designed for those who had lived abroad, and didn’t want to loose there new language. I liked english in school i guess, but i don’t have any memorable good/bad moments. My teachers were all the same, pretty booring, and all of the books used were wery stupid, like one chapter I remember, four aces stuck in a phone box... I think the book makers underestimate children very much. When I wet to helsingin kuvataide lukio, I had a fantastic teacher, filled with black humour and sarcasm. She was wery nice, and I enjoyed her classes, but I’m not really sure how much I learned there. I got a E from my matriculation examination in english, wich brought me two study points alredy for the university, so I only need one now in english. I don´t think I will study english more then that in any kind of institutions, but i like to read in english, and my tv is so small, that I can’t read the subtitles. I guess that can be learning in a way, if I’ll make it that and consantrate on it.
