Kaleidoscope reflection

Needs:
Some of my school books and articles are in english so I need to know how to do academic reading, writing and dicussion.I still need to widen my vocabulary, I'm easily using same words and phrases all the time.In some time of future I might like to go to student exchange or/and work abroad.
Skills:
I feel that I have started to become braver to use english. I read a lot books in english for fun and that has certainly helped me to widen my vocabulary. I also have started to pick up things and words from television and search information from internet in english. Luckily I have an english friend whom I see quite a lot and I try to speak with her many different kinds of things. Sometimes I\'m a bit worried about my grammar but now I understand, it\'s not the most inportant part of english learning.
Motivation:
Although I'm not sure what I future job is like, I'm sure I'll be needind languages, especially english. I'll also like to travel and meet with other people from different countries and cultures.
Personality: I'm still quite afraid of making mistakes but I'm starting to losen up a bit. I'm speaking up more and not worrying about my pronunciation. I'm also reading quite a lot in english and that has given me more courage. I'm very fond of my Oxford advanced learner's dictionary, where I can check things if I'm feeling uncertain of something.
Learning background:
At school we mostly concentrated on grammar and vocabulary. Part of me is very grateful of that, because it has given me a quite solid base of them. I feel that only after compulsory schooling I have found fun sides of studying english e.g reading novels, stories and fanfiction.I have learned that although learning english can be hard work sometimes it still is very enjoyable.
